What’s Happenin’?

Stevie ThompsonBallet Cat, HAH!, News, Productions, Workshops

It has been a while since we posted, but Flibbertigibbet has been busy formalising, planning and devising!

Firstly, we are delighted to be part of this:

“Hopper is a two-year pilot project that will create opportunities for young children to experience great art and culture in Early Years (EY) settings, such as pre-schools, nurseries, Foundation Stage in schools, libraries, village halls, school halls and Children’s Centres. It will also support six theatre companies in developing or adapting high quality and relevant performances for under 5s and increase access for hard to reach and marginalised children.” http://www.takeart.org/page/background-to-hopper

The six companies are meeting next week as part of a 2 day residency, to talk to Early Years specialists and work with groups of children.

We are feeling groovy! Ballet Cat is about to undertake a second week of development, supported by Travelling Light Theatre. We are aiming to tour the completed show in the autumn of 2018, in a co-production with Travelling Light with support from the Egg Theatre, Bath. We will keep you posted!

Summer is coming and Stevie will be around and about running workshops, including a week summer school at the Egg Theatre. If you are interested in a workshop for your group, of any age, do get in touch!
